First Trimester: The first 13 weeks of pregnancy

The first trimester is the first three months of pregnancy. It covers weeks 0-13. It's the period when the embryo implants in the uterus and pregnancy begins. It's also the period when organs begin to form.
The baby's heart and circulatory system have formed and its heart has begun to beat.
The baby's facial features begin to become more defined, and the eyes begin to move toward their normal position on the face. The internal structure of the ear is forming. The mouth, nose, and ear canals become visible.
Double screening tests are performed during this period.

Second Trimester: Weeks 14-27 of pregnancy

The second trimester is the period that starts from the 14th week of pregnancy and continues until the 27th week.

The eyes have settled into their proper positions on the face and the eyelids have formed.

Since the genitals become apparent during this period, the gender can be determined.

As their muscular system continues to develop rapidly, the mother can feel their movements increasing.

The sense of taste is developing. As taste buds begin to appear on the tongue, the baby can distinguish between bitter, sweet, and sour.

Triple and quadruple screening tests are performed during this period.

Third Trimester: The Last Period of Pregnancy
